Community living fosters among them a sharing that extends not only to material conditions
but also to spiritual and apostolic commitments.

The building that was once the convent for the sisters who staffed Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School and parish now houses a local community of Daughters of Charity who live and work in the New York City/Queens area. Sisters Margaret John and Patty Ann work at St. John’s University, Sr. Natalie works in parish ministry at St. Mary’s Parish in Manhasset, Sr. Bernadette works with Golden Age Groups, Sr. Vincent Louise manages two senior housing projects sponsored by Catholic Charities, Sister Sheila is engaged in parish ministry, and Sr. Faith is the Social Justice Co-ordinator for the Province
