What kind of ministries do you do?

Most of the time that I have been a Daughter of Charity I have worked in education as a teacher.  More recently I worked as secretary for the province and now do a similar job at our international headquarters in Paris.  I am part of an international team of secretaries and do work for 10 English-speaking provinces. – Sr. Mary Frances Barnes

I have worked in two Parish Outreach Centers, a Soup Kitchen, and a Community sponsored agency which provides multiple services for those who are poor. – Sr. Nora Sweeney
I have been lucky enough to participate in all kinds of ministries as an elementary school teacher, a religious education coordinator, a secretary, a campus minister, an administrator in a hospital, a spiritual director, a teacher of spirituality to adults, and now I am responsible for spiritual development among the Sisters.  My experience has been broad, challenging, and wonderful!  I have never been bored! - Sister Maura Hobart

I serve in an administrative capacity at a local health ministry in Binghamton, NY, with responsibility for integrating the Mission throughout the organization.  My ministry focuses on fostering within the hearts of those who serve with us, a strong commitment to those who are poor and vulnerable, a deep personal and organizational spirituality that is consistent with the Catholic faith tradition and supports the social teaching of the Church.   This ministry provides me the opportunity to serve as educator, counselor and advocate. - Sister Marilyn Perkins
