Constitutions of the Daughters of Charity

The daughters of Charity have a long history in Utica, NY: providing care to orphans for many years, teaching at Utica Catholic Academy and staffing the elementary school at Lourdes parish . The four sisters who form the present local community of the Daughters in Utica serve the changing face of Utica. Sr. Michele, an immigrant from Vietnam, works with the Vietnamese community at St. Francis DeSales Parish, Sisters. Mary Theresa and Joan work at St. John’s Parish Center and Sr. Ann Charles teaches reading at Notre Dame Jr. High School.
